I think it’d be great fun for a group of non-American gamers to play a group of American characters who are having adventures in the player’s country. So if you’re in France, play Americans visiting France and trying to buy guns and running from the police and not knowing the language and all that stuff. It’d be a hoot.
In lieu of. The chunk of Mak source material in the book isn’t as substantial as LGM or HH were for their cabals, but it’s sufficiently chunky for campaign use — I think it’ll run about 64 pages in the book.
Eventually I’d like to do a sort of city database. But for now, use Misc.
Break. Today. includes a short Mak Attax sourcebook, yes, but it’s mostly a campaign.
If you have use for prop documents of the 1920s/30s, check out this amazing collection of original PDFs and fonts. It’s intended for Cthulhu use, but a lot of them are useful for any real-world game that needs some moldering old clues.
Yeah, the first book for UA2 is Break. Today., a campaign by Greg Stolze. Should be out early in 2003.
It didn’t have a category applied for some reason. I’ve fixed it and it’s now under Adepts. There isn’t any moderation — just an error.
I don’t have a copy of UA2 here, but that sounds like an error. In UA1, there was a minimum roll of 30 for some situations, and this is probably text that slipped through from the first edition manuscript.
Skills would be great. We’ve published various new ones in sourcebooks here and there. Toss ’em up in Misc, sure thing.
It’s still been coming in fine for me, though I don’t get it in digest form.
Go to the ua-ml web site and log in there — you can check on your subscription status. You might just go there and unsubscribe/resubscribe. I believe the list admin’s email address is there as well if you want to write to him about this.
Lest the menu bar expand infinitely, let’s use Cabals for Rooms of Renunciation. If we eventually have a bunch of Rooms I can break them out into their own section. And check out the write-up of a sample Room in UA2–that has a specific format I intend to use for future Rooms.
As for Otherspaces, put them in Misc for now. We’ll break them out if we get enough of them.
UA2 was actually supposed to have an entire chapter devoted to Otherspaces. We just ran out of space and time and never wrote it.
Oh, it’s definitely true. The UA-ML is very active and a lot of fun–it’s linked at the top of the page.
I’m hoping this forum will be of use to occasional browsers, and to people who don’t have time to deal with all the activity on the UA-ML.
Certainly you can get your official questions answered here just like you can on the UA-ML.
