Well if there one thing i don’t want in a UA game, it’s a dungeon crawl. Thanks for the heads up.
I just landed me a copy for $50 from nobleknight.com. Make a wish list and see if your wishes come true!
Season 2 is out now but they left with so many unanswered questions. I hope they continued with the story and maybe it just hasn’t hit DVD yet. Still though, an amazing story!
Well speaking from a strictly metaphysical ideal on the topic its nothing more than enforcing a sympathized suggestion. Convincing the universe that your proxy is enough of you to be counted when the magick hits the fan so to speak.
Think of magick as electricity. Follows the path of least resistance carrying its goal. Proxying is forging a new path that is hopfully more conductive than you are. >=)
I’m from Rockford…which wierdly enough is close to alot of locations in the UA universe. (DeKalb for instance…those damn McAtakers) People around here have never even seen a UA book, but if you want to know a place to get them i got you all the hookup! I’ll be posting this in its our thread because of how common it is for people to want these books, just dont buy’em out for me…i still need the rest!
I too have just started running UA though i have run countless other games i’ll tell you really what got me going with it. Mystery – As i often tell my players when they want something explain more than i think they need to know, the first word on the cover is unknown. Keep that in mind. Secondly keep thing…out there…no other game but UA can you have a man selling ice cream with a frozen head that knows WAY more than its suppose to go about as something you can do without question. Keep the players guessing and never make something “The Norm”.
Now on power level, get them introduced first would be my suggestion. They need something simpler to cut there teeth on before the madness and perhaps more importantly. Some hardened notches. Otherwise use the book as a guide line to a story you want to see played out. I have alot more fun using an idea to fuel my story then throwing an adventure verbatim from a book. Makes you feel alot more in control (Because you know…you are) and if things get to hairy for your PC you can alter a few things (if you want, sometimes people are just at the wrong place at the wrong time). Anyhow…those are my suggestions.

It was actually this movie (series?) that got me interested in UA. I heard it was rather close to the ideas inside it and i begin reading here and boom. I love that story and you can’t miss the end…its perfectly deranged >=)
