Hi Chris,
there is a lot of good books abou the templars, but are you looking for the historical ones or the ones more occult and most of the times less accurate.
You could use references about the OTS, which claim that their roots originate from the Templars of Jerusalem. Some could doubt their historical claims, but they fit perfectly well in UA, they could be included as is for a global or cosmic level campaign.

The OTS is in french the “Order du Temple Solaire” I think it is in latin “Ordo Templarium Solari”. There are the group that commit suicide in Switzerland, France and Canada some years ago.
If you want it to be in the US you could use the OTS, if you want information on them, there is a lot of links on the web

Hey there.
I was thinking about the Templars and I came up with these tidbits. They have the largest fleet of ships in the world. This fleet is hired on long term contract to various companies around the world. How do you think Columbus got to the Americas?
All true Templar agents are Roman Catholic but consider the Papacy their enemy.
All true Templars have another thing in common: God’s own Bankers.
By walking into a banking establishment, the Templar can ask and receive a platinum credit card and a wad of small notes up to the legal limit.
This is merely be signing a document and saying the password.
I’d like to see what else you do with them. Especially the Merovignians.
Cheers,
Chris.
Where’d you find that? Just curious. They’re an interest of mine, as well.
The Lost Treasure of the Templars also contained one of the world’s most powerful artifacts-the Prophetic Head of John the Baptist…
But wait, there’s more-the head’s really the vessel for an incredibly old and powerful demon called Mahamut…
No, no it isn’t, it’s the world’s first Mechanomancy construct
