I’ve download PoMoMa and OneShots. I’m pretty excited about running Jailbreak, since it was the first UA game I played back in university.
Couple of things though. None of the characters have an initiative score. I take it this was introduced in UA2.
How did it work in the original, and are there any suggestions on how to update 1st ed. characters?
Also, there are letters next to the Speed Stat in 1st edition stat blocks, like “Speed 50 (S) (Nimble)”
What do they mean?
Are there any other big changes from 1st ed. I should know about?
The (S) and (F) were 1st ed Initiative tools. They meant Succeed and Fail, respectively. You can safely ignore them in second ed.
2nd ed characters have an Initiative skill equal to half their Speed stats.
I think Initiative was the biggest change made in 2nd ed. Everything 1st ed ports across to 2nd.
Easy enough.

Thanks.
Speaking of 1st ed., there are some weird acronyms in the books like BOHICA and such. I get that they indicate matched sucesses or something, but what do they stand for?
BOHICA – Bend Over Here It Comes Again. Critical Fumble.
OACOWA – Open A Can Of Whoop Ass. Critical Success.
