Two kleptomancers in my group have been having way to much fun lately (Pickpocketing (to many), cartheft (lots, really) and a jailbust), and it is time to turn the heat up. I want them running and scared, but not dead or in jail – yet. Any ideas?
On a thoughtful note – I will not allow Kleptomancers in my next chronicle. they are not to powerful, but their drawback will eventually govern the story, affecting the entire group.
A good beating by a group of corrupt cops might work well.
Or . . . hmm. I have a much better idea. I have a gut feeling that the next store they steal something from is going to have paid “protection” money to the Mob. (or TNI — take your pick). Why go to the police when Knuckles and T-Bone can solve your problem with less hassle?
Why not put them in jail? How much more UA a setting do you want?
For added fun, make that burly, tattooed guy (who always tells the klepto PCs how “purty” they are) the Freak. It’s here because it wants to break them out but first, they have to do it a favour or two… starting with picking up the soap that it just dropped in the shower.
