Anyone remember this?
The Golden Hare (http://www.thefoolsparadise.com/masquerade/art/sothebys-auction.jpg) created by Kit Williams in 1976 and buried in Ampthill Cemetary. A book was then released containing 15 paintings (http://thefoolsparadise.com/masquerade/0102.htm) hiding clues pointing to the location of the hare. This was the first time anything like this had been attempted (previous “treasure hunts” having been physical all the way through, rather than based on a single book), and the book sold thousands of copies and defined a new genre.
There’s gotta be some Artifact potential in this but I can’t think what it would do. Possibly some Goddess-style desire effects? Or something to do with Personamancy (because even though the book was called “Masquerade”, none of the pictures have anything to do with one?)
Kinda reminds me of this http://archives.obs-us.com/obs/german/books/holt/books/maze/index.html
It great fun to read and I would like a hard copy.
