Newcomer- Trying not to Offend

    Hello. I’ve been lurking around this site for a while now but this is the first time I’ve scraped up the nerve to join up and post. Anyway, I have a few questions/requests- if that’s okay with all of you.

    Firstly, a while ago there was a plan to do an Unknown Armies: Asia or UA: Japan or something Oriental-based. What happened to that? And when/if it’s finished, where can I find it?

    Secondly, could anyone suggest some rumours/plot hooks/rituals based around any of these tv shows? Doctor WHO, Invader Zim, Red Dwarf.

    I apologise for everything wrong/insulting I’ve said/done.

    Welcome to the community! You’ll find everyone here is pretty friendly and easy-going, so no need to worry about saying something wrong or insulting anyone. 🙂

    As for your first question, I believe that there aren’t going to be anymore new sourcebooks or supplements for UA in the near future.

    As for the second, I really can’t help. Of those all I’ve seen is Zim, and that was ages ago.

    Yeah folks are pretty friendly here.

    I agree that its unlikely that any more sourcebooks will be coming out but it would be nice to see some UA asia action. the spiritual mythology fits nicely and the ronin are mentioned in UA as Masterless Men.

    Red Dwarf sounds tricky, since outer space is a grey area in UA. But make it all a big illusion like in that squid episode maybe. note that there is a red dwarf roleplaying game on the shelves!

    Doctor Who says cliomancy / mechanomancy to me. Or if you have read the rulebook then a character in it called The Comte De Saint-Germain is somewhat of a timelord esque universe janitor.

    Um, the UA: Japan sourcebook was a Netbook being worked on here when I first saw it, not an official sourcebook. It was in this very forums I believe.

    Wasn’t Chris Cooper in charge of that? It was on the mailing list, I remember that much.
