Cameras that really steal your soul

The old tales of cameras stealing your souls is correct. At least with the right cameras….

The old tales of natives thinking that thier souls were stolen buy having thier pictures taken aren’t just tales. Those old style cameras that may take up to a minute or more for the picture to take are the real deal.

Very common in the old west when folks had to pose for a while in front of the camera while the picture developed on the film. Well during this time the person was having part of or thier entire soul sucked into the camera itself. This explains the attitudes and actions of some of the people during this time period.

Now they are making a small comeback. All these old time photo shops are opening up with these cameras so the picture looks even more accurate to those of long ago. Slowly they are taking away more and more from the populance.

The question over all of this is… where do the souls go once they are pulled into the camera? Along with the other question of who made these cameras and can they be reproduced?

It wasn’t uncommon in Victorian times to take photographs of dead children. This gave the parents a (somewhat macabre) final souvenir, and had the added benefit that the dead didn’t move around and ruin the picture.

Could it be that special cameras were used, cameras that could hold the escaping soul and keep it from roaming, and that this technology was added to other cameras by accident or design?
