Great City Magick Book

A great newish book which covers some UA territory

City Magick: Urban rituals, spells and shamanism
Christopher Penczak (2001) Weiser Books

I’ve just read this one and it is great. It covers a lot of UA ground and deals with all kinds of rituals and spirits in an urban setting. Most interestingly, it takes on the romanticised assumptions that many new agers have that nature cannot coexist with cities. It also mentions The Invisibles. Cool, practical and avoids a lot of cliches.

It actually is a damn fine book for the happy, trippy, but practical shamans in the group. I thoroughly enjoyed the worldscraper archetype as well as the others.

    Go and buy this book.
