Now heres an interesting thing I heard recently. Theres a couple a guys over the pond who have been channelling in really weird ways. See, theres this Antiquarian over in California who was looking for some unique Georgian cabinet thing. He puts the word out that he’s ready to trade big for it, I figure he looking to score a major charge so I keep an eye out. After all, if the guy said he’ll trade big, it means you could wring a whole shit load of stuff outta him.
But before I even hear sniff of the thing word comes round that the buyers dead. Seems he had an argument with a couple o guys who just disappeared him. But heres where it gets dark. This Antiquarian’s known as a pretty big league figure and the guys who took him out are total unknowns.
And its not just this guy either. Mostly it seems to be a yank problem but all over I’m hearing of dukes getting gone by civilians. In Edinburgh theres a Torpedo who had some amulet that made him immune to bullets but the way I hear it he broke into a flat full of total joe normals and was never seen again.
Seems like all over professional dukes are getting terminal surprises from people they should be able to grease without effort. I got the scoop from an Avatar of the Prophet, seems that for the first time in history a large chunk of the population is channelling.
It seems the Consumer has become such a large part of peoples mind that its spontaneously manifesting against Dukes who kick off on civilians.
I’m not joking, it may be brand new in the Invisible Clergy but the Consumers making serious waves. Its been infusing random mundanes and they have been literally eating dukes alive.
Watch your back man. Those civilians have got bite.
