Ten random things to find in a car shop

Hey, since it’s a good concept, let’s run with it.

A list of things you could find in a car garage, auto repair shop, used car dealership, chop-shop, etc.

On the concrete floor in a grimy, dusty corner, you find…

Roll a d10 or choose:

1) LEADED FUEL
This is a small, half-liter bottle made of red plastic, the size of a can of fuel additive. When the entire bottle is mixed with auto fuel (preferably, inside a fuel tank), it will turn the fuel into extra-dense, solid lead. The change happens sometime in the next hour, and will cause considerable damage to teh car if it is running at the time.

2) TITLE OF OWNERSHIP
This paperwork is immaculate: Unfolded, unsmudged, uncrumpled, no typos on it anywhere. It’s for a Ford Model T, originally purchased March third, 1903.

3) TURTLE WAX
A small metal case in the shape of a turtle, which contains turtle wax. If used to actually wax a turtle’s shell, the case comes alive for a 24-hour period. It will follow the commands of the waxer… but moves… very… slowly…

4) ACCIDENT REPORT
The type of paperwork that insurance companies and police officers require to be filled out. This paper details the results of a car accident from three weeks ago. The car hit a pothole and veered off the road into a telephone pole. The impact caused the engine to be thrown through the dashboard, through the driver’s seat, and landing in the backseat. While no damage was caused to the passenger seat, the passenger died while the driver survived unharmed.

5) CAR PHONE
Looking like a typical, cheap cell phone, this little toy doesn’t seem to work. Dialiing any phone number causes it to simply beep. But dial a license plate number, and whoever is inside the car will find that there’s a phone under their seat that’s ringing.

6) RADIO ANTENNA
This looks like your typical, collapsable, radio antenna. When extended to it’s full length of three feet and thrown in the air, it will land pointing in the direction of the strongest radio transmitter it can pick up.

7) SPEEDING TICKET
Crumpled up in someone’s glove compartment is a bright orange ticket. Oddly enough, it’s for going 333 in a 666 zone. But when given to another person, the numbers change to that character’s Speed and Soul scores.

8) ANTIFREEZE
A large, yellow platic bottle filled with a thin, dark-green liquid. Anything completely soaked in it will never freeze. However, it’s melting point goes away and it’s combustion point is cut in half. This may cause some things to burst into flames at room temperature.

9) MICRO MACHINES
A small pile of tiny toy cars, piled up in the corner. If you look closely, the cars are damaged… and there’s really tiny people strewn about underneath them. They feel plastic… or is that rigor mortis? Anyone moving the cars out of the corner will find a small tunnel, just big enough for a micro machine to fit into.

10) PRESSURE GAGUE
A standard tire pressure gague. But when placed to someone’s ear, it gives an accurate reading of how stressed the subject is (from 1 to 100… with at least 5 points for each failed check on a madness meter).

Number five – the car phone – rocked!

    Good one.

    Cheers,
