Rumoursof an immortality, with a modern twist
Immortality … the thought of it has been the goal of counless people, from Taoist sages or alchemists … but now, it’s possible, and so very, very simple. If you’re never born, you cannot die.
Paper is the tool of the modern world, it has become more real than reality (with money a prime example, y’ know?) … destroy it, and you change the world.
You just have to burn your birth certificate and all records that you were born. (Being born without one in a country that normally issues them is far better symbolically) and you won’t die. As long as no one ever issues a death certificate for you in your real name, you will live forever.
This can works as an in-game homeopathy by stopping powerhouses with 99%s in everything.
A person without a past has no past.
The character can keep about fifty years of life in memoriy and unless its very important and continually recycles, old information is lost or is corrupted (like false memory syndrome).
The best way would be to make it a Soul Stat: Everliving. It is the primary skill to roll before determining if another attribute can exceed the Everliving skill.
The cap for the Everliving skill is, of course, Soul.
Everliving starts at half of Soul and numerically represents the years of in-time.
Cheers,
Chris.
Another thing that Everliving can do is wipe out hardened and failed notches over time.
That way the immortal guys can live in a Tibetan Monastery for years and by metaphysically “reborn”.
Later,
Chris.
