The secret behind the virus’s that have blighted the 20th century (and beyond)..

Somewhere in downtown Alberqueque there is a cabal of 6 Mechanomancers which are responsible for the creation of AIDS, SARS and Lyme Disease.

It is common knowledge amongst Mechanomancers that Virus’s are nothing more than minuturised clockworks designed to wreck all hell on civilization. One drawback is that most Mechanomancers can’t make these diabolical little contraptions for a very practical reason: they simply are not small enough.

However, the cabal mentioned above have evaded this problem by utilizing a ritual that reduces themselves down to a microscopic level. Hence the inventions can be made with brutal ease.

The only question remaining is who (or what) created all the other virus’s in existence?
