I got “Break Today” for Christmas, so my players are going to be having a fair amount of Attaxer action in the campaign, but I don’t think this stuff is my style…
I had a conversation in an IHOP with two of my old friends yesterday. One was a Hell’s Angel (former speed dealer, who now works with Toys for Tots and the USMC) and the other is a ‘retired’ phreaker.
I mentioned this guy’s idea of fun, and the trashing of a telephone booth came up.
Both immediately took offense; to a HA, trashing a public phone means cutting someone off from help, in an emergency. The hacker was opposed to it on ethical grounds, as well, admittedly for a different ethos.
Revenge is funny, done properly.
Taking out your failings on someone making as close to an honest living as they can isn’t revenge; it’s being an asshole.
Assholes get revenged upon, not revenge for themselves.

Oh yeah and Mr Unlucky, I figure that most people who play UA are mature enough to see this only in terms of stuff to use in game.
I’m not a fan of busting public property. Heaven knows that only makes my taxes go up and in Australia they’re plenty high already.
