Behind the Hutton Inquiry

The Messenger, Dermott Arcane, and the BBC

——————-

Someone got busted pulling an Arkane-esque manipulative-media move at the BBC. A minor comment made a big splash, however, as BBC’s image was the embodiment of an authoritative bearer of Truths — in short, the home of the Messenger on Earth.

Not sure what to make of the Hutton Inquiry, though.

Half of the word on the street has it as the Messenger’s attempt to clean house. The way the other half tell it, the whole show is the ultimate emblem of the Messenger’s fall, the Statosphere’s way of manifesting that Arcane finally made the old Messenger cry uncle. After all, the BBC is got very busy proclaiming its bias and manipulative reporting and having its Board/Regulators resign.

Of course, the noise is meant to signal a revision and change, to supposedly cleanse the dust from the mirror the BBC holds up to the world. But can they really un-ring the bell of self-proclaimed bias?

It’s real suspicious the way those weapons programs were never found, despite all that money Saddam paid into them, and all those scientists working on them… of course, a governmental investigation would be the response to the Statosphere making the world match up with the reporting like that. At least they won’t be rioting… not at us anyway.

When was the last time anyone saw Dermott’s face on the playground?
