A few things to go bump in the night…
Gobblestops
Think Slimer from the ghostbusters, give him a pair of spindly legs to match his arms, and paint him whatever color you want since they’re normally invisible. Gobblestops tend to be solitary, staking out a territory and attempting to drive off other unnatural interlopers. Gobblestops eat constantly if given the chance and are especially fond of candy and roadkill. Their favorite hangouts are 24/7 gas stations and small grocery stores. When threatened or faced with another unnatural being Gobblestops attack viciously with claws, bites, and thrown objects. In a turf war between two gobblestops one almost always ends up eating the other, getting bigger, smarter, and hungrier. Their natural invisibility and penchant for throwing things often gets them misdiagnosed as poltergeists.

Burrynacks
4 feet tall, stick thin, and covered with fine dark hair Burrynacks live in small packs of 5-7 members plus young. They prefer to dwell high off the ground where they can see things approaching, and things that they want. A Burrynack nest will contain all manner of trash and stolen objects, much like a crow’s nest. Because of this Burrynacks are often found in old attics and barns where odds and ends accumulate as a matter of course. Burrnacks can easily fit through most modern drainpipes. In urban settings they prefer rooftops and will hide motionless amid antennas until they spot something they want. Fire is the only sure way to get rid of them, as they are highly flammable and emit a whistling-warbling sound as they perish.

The Rencheus
The Rencheus appear to be 2 foot tall dwarves dressed in uncured animal pelts. Their oversized heads are hairless and their eyes are large and milky-white, though they can easily stand bright lights. Colonies of rencheus dwell in the sewers and tunnels under most municipalities. They practice a form of cave art, painting frescos with the blood of the creatures they kill as well as chorus singing, though the tones are too low for most humans to discriminate any actual words. Rencheus colonies often keep trained cats as hunting aids, and will attack and kill most anything they perceive to be invading their tunnels.

Molukes
Parasitic but thankfully solitary, Molukes resemble a hairy pink lamprey with a multitude of short clawed legs arranged all around and down the length of their bodies. Molukes dwell inside host beings, usually stray dogs or large rodents, though larger Molukes have been known to attack humans. The host creature is fully aware it is inhabited, resulting in a frenzied scratching at the belly, wild fits of running, and frequent panicked attacks on nearby creatures. Molukes tend to enter their hosts through the navel or an incision in the belly of the Moluke’s making. Once inside Molukes dwell in the hosts intestines consuming blood and semi digested matter. Because Molukes are slothful eaters, most long-term hosts develop lethal fevers, gangrene, and/or fecal poisoning if they do not manage to kill themselves or drive out the Moluke. Molukes do not like cold temperatures or bright lights and after a short time of exposure will seek a new host.

I realize UA focuses on the human element of weirdness, but somethimes I like throwing the occasional odd-ball into the mix to keep the players on their toes.
Actually, your comment addressed my initial thoughts.
You can, however, salvage these ideas for the human-centric UAniverse by making them into manifestations of those “seven deadly sins” or other negative emotions.
– Carnals (published) take care of Lust.
– Gobblestops are a shoe-in for Gluttony.
– Burrynacks are a pretty good fit for Envy.
– Molukes could match up with Sloth.
– Rencheus might work as Resentment or (supressed) Rage, given their subterranian lifestyle.
