hell how else are we supposed to keep our kids in line ?

33three, this is definitely an interesting archetype concept. It carries connotations both very bright (father as safety and protection), very dark (father as abusive parent), and ambivalent (father as stern disciplinarian.)
But flesh it out more! Check out some of the other Archetypes listed here, or in the books. Typically, they include a description, attributes, symbols, masks (gods and spirits who may be symbolic of the archetype), possible avatars in history, taboos, and powers.
It’s a lot more work, but the results are worth it. Give it a try!
