Luck and the End of History

Forget Nostradamus! Past and future alike are wrought in the medium of marbits.

The four initial symbols correspond to plant and animal life, and the static and cyclical elements of nature. Blue diamond represents conscious thought and the development of language – cf the Diamond Sutra. Horseshoes correspond to large-scale domestication of animals, and red “balloons” are the iron coins of Sparta. A rainbow is an adequate symbol for both the Italian Renaissance and the penecontemporaneous flowering of Aztec civilization. Gold, of course, shows the rise of mercantilism, complete with slash-and-burn agriculture and mass-market education (the phase-out of clovers and diamonds). The moon turns blue with Unviersal Gravitation. The hat – green like a radar screen, or a dollar bill – shows the technological and ideological developments during and after the second world war. Shooting stars, of course, are space travel. At the turn of the millenium, the Charm Prophecy caught up with current events. So, we know the clover’s coming back, and then there’s going to be some kind of chronological event.

What I can’t figure out is, what’s the deal with that hidden key?

I had to look up what in the heck a “marbits” was…! (How is it that “Lucky Charms” gets its own word for mini-marshmallows?!! General Mills must be a big player in the Occult Underground or something…)

The cereal itself represents the majority of people, the chorus. Not everyone has, or really wants, a part in grand historical events; they just sit back and watch, or scurry away to resume their normal lives. Put ’em on the spot and they’ll say “i was just following orders” or “it is Godzilla, we must flee!”
