Capitol G

What’s that letter mean, anymore?

The classic Masonic icon is the square and compass, with a letter G in the center. It stands for God, or Geometry, or Gatorade.

There was an ad, a mockery of a mockery of Arthurian knights, saying ‘you hinder us in our quest for G.’ But they already had access to a colorful and/or refreshing beverage, so that must’ve been some other Grail they were looking for.

Indiana Jones, who named himself after a dog rather than some god who once ruled the ground now called Indiana, knew that a false grail takes life away. Remember those zombie dogs? Drain the blood out, replace it with cold sugar-saturated saline solution, a few drops of Red 5 short of a refreshing sports drink. Draining blood, of course, takes the life of the dogs away, but the false fluid fills in until banked fires may safely resume, fueled by red sleeper cells.

That book about the Rose Line theorized that grail’s treasure wasn’t really a curative cup at all, but a branching line of blood, reinforced by private documents, reconstructible by sufficiently clever people with mostly-public information.

And that, my friend, is why I opted out of Google Buzz.
